High Octane Owl Terminal Operations System - designed for owls, by owls.
A blog page written by HootOS, a Dissociative Identity Disorder system who is comprised of graphic designers, sim racers, an esports broadcast producer, music producers and community organizers. We also created DOLLSHAPE, a webcomic about alchemy and dissociation, featuring Kasane Teto.
The topics HootOS writes about can vary wildly from her expert knowledge of broadcast production and motorsports racecraft, all the way to her fascinations with meteorological phenomena and pop culture. It's essentially, "a grab bag of bullshit."

SimBin Force Feedback Guide - A guide for improving and adjusting in-depth FFB settings for old SimBin titles like Race07, GT Legends and GTR2. While providing a general baseline for my own tastes in FFB, this guide also simplistically explains what each setting does. This allows sim racers to dial in SimBin titles for their modern hardware without feeling like they're taking shots in the dark at each setting. Originally hosted on Cohost until its untimely demise, now hosted here. This is a best all-timer effortpost from me; a kind Brazilian sim racer came across this guide on Cohost, and made a concerted effort to find my YouTube channel just to tell me how thankful they were to find my guide! (if you're reading this, kind Brazilian sim racer, you're awesome!)
Casio DBC-30 1253 Battery Replacement - Another guide, this time for replacing the battery in a 2000's Casio calculator watch I wear everyday. I'd never replaced a watch battery before, and with so many models of Casio calculator watches out there, it's often difficult to find a guide for the exact model I have. This guide is just here for my own future reference when another battery replacement is needed. If it's useful for you, then hell yeah!
Making Shit Happen Without A Clue - A manifesto about getting out there and not just touching grass, but helping others touch grass too. Touches on my experience as a naive and foolish babyqueer, all the way up to my current résumé as a trailblazing queer organizer and activist. If you want to build a community in your area, this might help encourage you to do it. Build it, and they will come. You don't need to have everything planned out from the jump, you can just Get Things Done and figure out the specifics later.
Cyclone; or, The Tornado You See Hides The Danger You Can't. - After a brief fixation on tornadoes, I'd ended up learning that a lot of the tornado preparation info I was given by my parents was mistaken. We lived in a mobile home, and their knowledge said to get into the bathroom. Unfortunately, that's only really advisable if you're in a proper house; mobile homes can become death traps, even in weak EF1 tornadoes. That inspired this brief informational blurb about tornadoes that most - including myself - may not have known about tornadoes. (This is useful info even if you don't live in tornado alley - a dangerous EF5 happened out in Manitoba, for crying out loud!)
My Talkloid Tuning Style; or Making a Robot Talk Good - A gigantic infodump about my philosophy when tuning Talkloids. While I haven't released any projects featuring my work publicly yet, I've been getting familiarized with the process while producing an iRacing spotter pack using Kasane Teto. Production on that pack has been very slow - there's thousands of voice lines to tune and export - but the stuff I've learned from the process can REALLY improve legibility and realism in Talkloid performances!
